The 8th International Conference on Information Technology (cit2005) shall be held from 20th December (tuesday) to 23rd December (friday) organised by Orissa Information Technology Society (oits).

Call for participation:
The goal of the international conference on information technology (cit) is to provide a high quality forum for scientists and engineers to present their latest research findingsll topics in the area of information technology.

Papers are solicited on, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Ubiquitous computing, Mobile computing
  • Embedded and real time systems
  • Parallel and distributed computing
  • E-commerce and network security
  • Fault tolerance and reliability
  • Formal methods
  • Soft computing, Multiagent systems
  • Bio-informatics
  • Computational finance
  • Language technology

Proposals for special topics:(workshops, advanced tutorials) shall be welcome. Interested organisers are requested to submit one/two page proposal to the program chairs.

Paper submissions: Authors are requested to submit their manuscripts electronically in pdf/ps (preferable) or in msword format. The first page of the manuscript must include the names, email addresses, affiliation of the authors, and an abstract of the paper followed by a few key words identifying the subject area. The size of the manuscript shall be limited to fifteen double spaced pages of size 8.5inX11in, in 12pt fonts, with an inch of margins around the text area. Papers shall be sent to either of the program chairs as an email with subject line cit2005 submission. The program chairs will advise regarding the final submission format for the accepted papers after due review. Proceedings shall be available during the conference.

Awards: There will be two awards:(a) the best paper in the conference, (b) the best paper from Orissa. The papers must have been presented in Conference.

Tutorials: Tutorial proposals are sought in all areas of information technology, and shall be addressed to the advanced students in this field. 20.12.2005 will consist of tutorials only. Tutorial proposals shall include a brief abstract of the tutorial and an outline of the topics to be covered, and may be sent to one of the tutorial chairs.
